In Zeiten von Big Data und Industrie 4.0 müssen deutsche Manager und Aufsichtsräte dem digitalen Wandel offensiver begegnen und ihn mit innovativen Geschäftsmodellen proaktiv mitgestalten – zu diesem Ergebnis kam der 5. Board Dialog der Board Academy am 15. April 2016 in Frankfurt am Main.

„Wir erleben im Zuge der Digitalisierung nicht nur rasante technische Veränderungen, sondern vielmehr tiefgreifende kulturelle Transformationsprozesse. Der Anspruch der automatischen, schnellen und effizienten Kommunikation im Kern der Industrie 4.0 muss sich auch in den Gremien und Vorständen von heute und morgen wiederspiegeln“, so Board Academy Gründer und Geschäftsführer Guido Happe.

Digitaler Wandel wichtigste strategische Herausforderung

Auch die erfahrene Aufsichtsrätin und Director’s Channel Gründerin Dr. Viktoria Kickinger nannte in ihrer Keynote Speech im Rahmen des Board Dialogs die Digitalisierung als entscheidenden und branchenübergreifend deutlich spürbaren Changemaker: „Der digitale Wandel bleibt in den kommenden Jahren die mit Abstand wichtigste strategische Herausforderung für deutsche Unternehmen – nicht nur im Vorstand, sondern insbesondere auch in Aufsichts- und Beiräten. Digitale Kompetenz in Gremien und Management ist dabei längst keine Kür mehr, sondern absolute Pflicht.“

Strategische Weichenstellungen für digitalen Wandel

Neben Dr. Kickinger diskutierten beim Board Dialog unter anderem Experten von RWE, Beiten Burkhardt, Crownlake Management sowie des Fraunhofer-Instituts für Produktionstechnologie, der Technischen Universität Berlin, der MELO Group und der ec4u expert consulting ag in Vorträgen und Workshops, welche Weichen es im Rahmen einer erfolgreichen digitalen Unternehmensstrategie zu stellen gilt. So analysierte Prof. Dr. Günther Schuh, u.a. Direktor des Fraunhofer-Instituts für Produktionstechnologie, den Status der Industrie 4.0 in Deutschland in einem Impulsvortrag, während Stefanie Kemp, Leiterin CIO Office bei RWE, den InnovationHUB des Energiekonzerns vorstellte.
